Subject: ONSITE CONFIG GUIDE VERSION (14) UPDATE - IM350 card reader must be connected to the mini -USB port on right side of panel due to firmware update
Importance: High
Howdy,
We have a new version of the Onsite HW Configuration document (v14) to be used immediately for all deployments. The only change is to accommodate a firmware update the requires that the card readers be connected to the mini-USB port on the side of the display panel (NOT on the back of the device as was the case previously for this model.) **Card readers on the IM350 will not work with the new firmware if connected to the back.
Please begin using now. I will get this posted to Gemstar as soon as possible – the attachment is the production version.
Thank You!
In conjunction, I’ll be working to ensure the Technician teams know that if/when firmware gets updated (during service calls) on any already-deployed devices, the card reader connection must be moved to this panel mini-USB port. **Card readers on the IM350 will not work with the new firmware if connected to the back.
<mailto:milana.bernstein at ricoh-usa.com> @Milana Bernstein I haven’t taken the Gemstar training yet, but I heard you have! 😊 I will probably bother you when I go to post this at our Parker Gemstar.
Thanks!
The update as seen in the doc. This is how the IM350 must be attached.
Page 4 in v14 (using v13 instructions will result in failure of the readers to function)
Upcoming Out of Office:
Date(s):
June 16 (afternoon only)
