Dear Deasy,
You are right as when device is deployed was not required the card reader as LRS is yet ready. However, the retrofit project was launched in 2022 to have the card reader installed and ref attached is the confirmation of card reader has been ordered and delivered including Gresik and installation is completed as per Soenwono is the below email chain.

Please arrange the card reader and cover installation if it's really missing on the device.

Apologies for the late reply. I have checked with our team in Surabaya and reviewed the history of this device. They confirmed that from the beginning, the device was not equipped with a card reader, and the user has been printing directly from the their device.

Sorry to reach out to you again around the topic of card readers but Shell informed me that there is 1 device which is still missing the reader?

For card swapping you don't need admin access. VID/PID settings are done already.
Please remove any Java VM card from the devices.
When there is no Java VM card present, disable Java; set SP 5-730-001 to 0 (MP (C) models only).

Once Readers are installed, the Global Shell team will reach out to Local Shell to arrange a date for LRS solution deployment.
When that date is agreed they will ask for an engineer to attend the site to support any issues that may occur when deploying the solution.
It may be the engineers doesn't need to do anything but to be available is the requirement from the Shell team.
As this is a support request it is a chargeable activity so you can use the global day rate for the day/s the engineer is onsite.

Correct. Micro USB cable connected to front SOP panel of all models as requested by Shell.
the LRS solution apparently doesn't work if the reader is connected to the back of the MPC devices. The IMC are default front panel connection anyway.

The card reader should be delivered last year - ref attached with the guide.
Please make sure the card reader is connected to SOP front panel regardless IMC or non IMC model. It should use the Micro USB for connection.

I'm a kinda lost about this project. Tomorrow I will ask my engineer to check and verify first whether card reader is there or not.
If the card reader is there, then we will plug it into the front SOP panel regardless IMC or non IMC model. please advise the CCD / buildbook

The Solution yet implemented for APAC. Previous exercise to make sure card reader is purchased and installed which has been completed.

Hi Team,
I would firstly like to thank you for all your efforts in helping with the installation of the card readers across the APAC region.
As an overview the LRS Solution is currently being tested in pilot locations across Shell.
Whilst testing was being carried out there was a problem with getting some of the devices to respond to the solution.
This only seems to be related to the older MPC devices and is to do with the connection on the device.
In the old build book and for our solution to work the card readers would work when connected to the rear of the device, but for the LRS solution it does not work.
So the actions we potentially need to take are as follows.
* Check current devices on site if the connection for the card reader for MPC models is at the rear of the device or the front SOP panel?
* Any devices which are not connected to the front SOP panel will need to reconnected from the back of the device to the front.
* There was a micro usb cable which connects to the front panel, if this is no longer available a new cable can be purchased and charged to Shell.
* As this is a request to revisit and reconnect it is also a chargeable activity to Shell local.
* Provide list of devices inc serial numbers of which devices have now been converted to SOP panel.
NOTE: Only the card reader cable switch is required here and no actual configuration of the device. If you do encounter any issues once the cable is swapped then you can reach out to the RAM team to help with the remote configuration.
I have attached a file with the device numbers I have for you locations and also the new and updated build book for the tech/engineer to follow when refitting the cable for the card reader.
It would be great if we can get the activities completed before the end of the month as Shell are starting to look at a global roll out of the solution from September and would be great if we can make sure our sites are ready for the change.
